Hello, I'm Monika Filipina!

I’m a children’s-book illustrator who loves filling pages with warm colours, playful textures, and anthropomorphic characters that feel irresistibly real. My toolbox is happily mixed media—mostly gouache and coloured pencils, topped off with a dash of digital polish—so every spread keeps its handcrafted charm.

I remember staring at other artists’ work and wondering if my sketches would ever reach that level. After years of practice, commissions, and published titles, I created this course to guide beginners through the same journey. Together we’ll brainstorm story ideas, design expressive characters, build outfits and unique traits, and weave everything into a complete picturebook dummy ready to share, print, or even pitch to publishers.
