Hey, I'm Monika,
I’m a children’s-book illustrator who loves filling pages with warm colours, playful textures, and anthropomorphic characters that feel irresistibly real. My toolbox is happily mixed media—mostly gouache and coloured pencils, topped off with a dash of digital polish—so every spread keeps its handcrafted charm.
I remember staring at other artists’ work and wondering if my sketches would ever reach that level. After years of practice, commissions, and published titles, I created this course to guide beginners through the same journey. Together we’ll brainstorm story ideas, design expressive characters, build outfits and unique traits, and weave everything into a complete picturebook dummy ready to share, print, or even pitch to publishers. COURSE CONTENT
The course has 7 modules for 12+ hours of learning and practicing. It also includes full-length tutorials! You can pause and replay the videos as much as you want. The course is suitable for everyone, teens, adults and children because there is no explicit content. It would be best to take the course in order, because it will start from the basics to lessons at a more advanced level.Â

Move from lively life-drawing sessions to a fully realised cast and setting. Experiment with anthropomorphic designs, outfits, and features, then arrange your narrative in a flowing storyboard that plans each visual beat and prepares you for final art.
Modules 5 & 6
Sketches & Colour artwork

Refine every spread through detailed rough sketches, develop cover, title page, and endpapers, and assemble a printed dummy book for review. Next, bring scenes to life with layered colour, rich textures, and digital polish so each page looks vibrant and ready for print or digital release.

Cover, endpapers, title page

Paint the cover, title page, and endpapers, make final edits, export professional files, and admire your finished book. Celebrate the moment you become a picturebook creator.
