Hi, I'm Monika!
Iām an illustrator with a big love for creating childrenās books and cozy, character-driven illustrations. My work is full of warm colors and charming, anthropomorphic charactersāthink animals with personalities, little quirks, and big hearts. I mostly use gouache and colored pencils, with a touch of digital editing to bring everything together.
The first book that I illustrated back in 2012 won Golden Pinwheel Award at Shanghai Childrenās Bookfair. I graduated with the MA in Childrenās Book Illustration in 2014 and since then I illustrated 50 books and written 11 of them. My books were translated into more than 20 languages and published internationally.
Over the years, Iāve found that most of the people drawn to my work are beginner illustratorsāpeople who feel that spark and want to learn how to create characters of their own. If thatās you, youāre in the right place.
